To begin with, hats off to everyone associated with this movie. Every bit of it is simply amazing. The picture showcases various aspects of life after major tragedy and how life moves on from that point onwards.
This blog is really written for exemplary screen play and characters chosen and played in the movie.
I am no movie critic but this movie is having ever lasting impact on me. I am putting across this blog based on individual character and ranking them based on moments or scenes which touched me the most.
Irrfan Khan: Even downtrodden person has desires was put on screen with ease by this man. All of us do have desires and when humiliated we do take various measures to mitigate it by doing something even worse. But realization of mistakes and overcoming them is no human task. His best scene was chasing of taxi on his cycle. He exerted his effort cycling without any effort for which I rate him sixth.
Soha Ali Khan: Life of journalist could not be portrayed better. She goes through the hardship which journalists’ pour out on others for TRP. She has acted wonderfully and transformation from hardcore journalist to emotional human being could not have been showcased better. Her best scene was coming from board room to hospital searching for her fiancé. Transformation was gracious and fetches her fifth position.
Kay Kay: Hate, unconditional hate on few things or some people is inherent within everyone. Specious and Irrational branding on few things won’t burn out easily. It was depicted by Kay Kay’s character. Best scene was when he bluff’s about his name later to be caught in the same scene. His guilt gives him fourth place.
Paresh Rawal: What can I say about him? Best performer in any given role. His role of senior constable has everlasting impression. Witty yet cut-throat performance leaves us wanting more. Best scene is when he realizes of lost time and pitiful life lead till day of retirement on side walk. Third place is bit low for this master.
Anonymous constable: I am not sure about this particular actor. But he has overcame many well known faces with sheer performance. He has bought the better of Paresh Rawal both comically and hardheartedly. Crying in loo gets him second place.
Madhavan: He wins first place. I see fear in him the way normal person does after catastrophe. But I liked his desi attitude very much and seeing his reflection on display glass to overcome his ideology of not buying a car fetched him first place.
