Accountability

Sounds economics but don’t be fooled…

I always remember that day, it was a Tuesday afternoon and I was in-charge of class. Being in a crazy school like mine and taking responsibility of class discipline was no joke. My friends were not in best of conduct that day. Class was chaotic.

The black board where I was to report roguish boys’ names was empty.

Listening to cacophony, lecture SMD (forgot his full name) came promptly and then I received one tight slap…

Never before did I get beaten for disciplinary cause. But this was different. I was not the person shouting or yelling in the class but still I received one on my face.

SMD replied “This boy is being slapped not for his misdemeanor but for lack of accountability.”

For the few who are wondering what it means, here you go. It meant that black board was clean even with class was fully muddled. I was beaten up for this lack of accountability.

Most of us lack accountability which has lead to catastrophic eventuality.

If coast guards were accountable, nobody could have come through sea route.
If intelligence were accountable, they would not have shown apathy towards the tip-off.
If our police department were accountable, they would not be fighting AK-47 with age old Indian rifle.
If only politicians were accountable, they would have used better phrases to describe the incident.
If only terror outfits were accountable, they would know “Eye for eye would leaves entire world blind”

If only I, you all of us were accountable, we would have helped needy rather than blabber in a blog this way.

Be accountable in your work, towards your family or country and be the part of a new revolution all over again.

The buck does not stop at the politicians it rather stops at us. Had we not voted such non allegiant leaders and showed some discernment in electing a responsible leaders. how many of us actually look at the resumes of the politicians before casting vote? so accountability or the buck with us"citizens of largest democracy of the world".
